This series of humanities programs examined the Asian diaspora in the New World through film, video, discussion, lectures, panels and demonstrations. Funding for Asian Cultural Influences in the New World events came from the Florida Humanities Council. This series was designed to provide the general public the opportunity to engage in informal and stimulating dialogue in a desire to help build bridges and bring people together, to find commonality while respecting diversity. These humanities programs were a vital part of the project concept. All of the humanities events were free.
