A mixed-ability dance project within the Florida Dance Festival dedicated to exploring and promoting dance as an important and vital art form for people with disabilities.

dance workshops, video screenings, panels, a dance jam, performances

Artists from England, Germany, Brazil, San Francisco and Miami gather in Miami for the 2nd annual danceAble to share, teach and perform. danceAble wowed you last year with Bill Shannon, Bill T. Jones and Sidiki Conde. We promise to do it again with performances by AXIS Dance Company from San Francisco and a special appearance by Olive Bieringa, also from the Bay area, in a Florida Dance Faculty concert.

Sign up for workshops, come to the performances, panel and video screenings or participate in a dance jam. Find out what is happening around the world in dance for artists with disabilities. Activities are open to all individuals with or without disabilities interested in integrated, mixed-ability movement and dance from professionals in health and service organizations to dance artists, students and lay persons.
