Intermission is a series of photographs taken on theater stages. The photographs have been taken on empty stages in between productions from the stage looking out at an empty house. The lights are on, yet the theater empty and the stage bare except for an occasional few remaining props waiting to be removed.

The images are of the stage, looking at it and out from it, all from the point of view of standing on the stage. The viewer will be left to wonder who is actually looking, a performer?, a writer?, a janitor?, the view of perception remains ambiguous. Is it the beginning or the end? The stage is filled with potential, and yet a sense of loss at the same time.

Each stage has its own unique and individual quality while sharing the same anticipation and collective memory as all the others. There is a thread of anonymity as the images are very similar yet different at the same time.
